    The Moment

The Conversation You Would Be Walking Into

Institutions that dismissed crypto four years ago are now filing for ETFs. Founders who built during the bear market are back at the table, and the global policy community is paying closer attention than it ever has.

The conversation happening right now between technologists, investors, and regulators is not a background trend. It is the primary story in global financial markets. And the people shaping that conversation are The Digital Future's clients. This is where you would be working.

    The Role

    What You Will Actually Do

You will report directly to Michelle O'Connor, Founder. You will contribute to communications strategy for companies navigating the most consequential regulatory and market dynamics in financial technology. You will support the positioning of executives who speak at Davos, testify before regulators, and keynote the industry's most-watched conferences.

    Executive Thought Leadership

Support communications across op-eds, conference talks, podcast appearances, LinkedIn, and media interviews. Research, draft, edit, and refine at a standard that reflects the caliber of the executives you are supporting.

    Media Monitoring & Intelligence

Track press coverage, regulatory developments, funding announcements, and policy activity. Prepare short, sharp briefings. You are not just clipping headlines. You are reading the landscape.

    Narrative & Positioning Research

Support positioning frameworks and communications strategy. Research how competitors tell their story, where the gaps are, and what angles are gaining traction in media and policy circles.

    Media Relations Support

Maintain media lists, track journalist relationships, and identify press opportunities. Prepare backgrounders, talking points, and Q&A documents ahead of interviews and announcements.

    Events & Global Convenings

Support communications preparation for Digital Future House events from Consensus to Paris Blockchain Week to DAS. Prepare speaker briefings, participant communications, and post-event coverage.

    Content & Editorial Operations

Keep the communications pipeline organized across channels. Support editorial calendars, track content in progress, and ensure nothing falls through. Good operational instincts are a communications skill.

    The Firm

    About The Digital Future

Michelle O'Connor brings 25 years of brand strategy experience and a decade building inside Digital Assets, fintech, and AI-driven compliance, including leadership roles at Taxbit and Uphold.

The firm operates through the Digital Future Studio model: founder-led strategy, specialist execution deployed on demand. We ramped from launch to a full client slate in months, and our pipeline continues to grow across protocols, exchanges, compliance infrastructure companies, and AI-native fintech platforms.

    You

    Who You Are

You write clearly and you know the difference between a sentence that communicates and one that just occupies space. You are genuinely curious about technology, regulation, and the intersection of both. You can read a policy document, a funding announcement, and a media story and synthesize what each of them means in the same briefing.

You are organized. You ask good questions. You can operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments without needing to be managed through each step.
